Ramen
One of my favourite fast foods. The thing that's not fast is the prep time. Hear me out. Once you've made the ingredients they're ready for a week in the fridge, and they go from fridge to ready in 15 minutes.
Ingredients
Equipment
- serving bowl
- so many pots
- a method of straining the noodles, quickly.
Method
Get get the Tare and Aroma Oil of your choice ready. Put your serving bowl in the oven, cold. Get a pot of water boiling for your Noodles. Get all your Toppings ready. Set your Chashu on a baking tray. Put your Broth into another pot to heat, and turn on the heat. Set your Seasoned Egg in a cup of hot tap water.
Turn on the oven as low at it goes to heat your serving bowl. A cold bowl will pull the heat out of your food.
Put the noodles in the water. Set a 3 minute timer.
With 30 seconds before the noodles are ready, remove the bowl from the oven. Add 1 tablespoon of tare, 2 teaspoons of aroma oil, and the broth. Drain your noodled quickly, and put into the broth. With chopsticks, lift them mostly out and lay them flat to form a raft to support toppings. Lay out your chashu, egg, and toppings. Serve immediately.
